Lt Belor wandered through the reactor room, sweat running down his face from the heat. He did his customary check of the reactors, as he did most morning. It was unusally warm he noted as he checked the readout on reactor three. The readout showed a drop off in coolent.
"Well then, lets take a look shall we?" He said to nobody as he looked up towards the pipes that fed coolent into the reactors and gasped, tapping his commbadge.
"Belor to sickbay... Doctor you may want to get down here, we have a situation." He said as he stared into the eyes of the blond haired Ensign that swung from a rope around her neck, tied to the coolent pipe.

Captain V'Tar watched as the S.S Gibbs maneuvered into postion. Had he not need Vulcan he believed right now he'd be angry, yes that was the emotion he'd be feeling right now. Afterall what did these civilians know about starfleet security, he had no doubt this was a waste of his time and resources but he had no choice, rules were rules and the dead Ensign was now their problem.
The airlock door slid slid open and a middle aged human brunette stepped over the threshold. V'Tar stepped forward to meet her, raising his hand in the Vulcan salute.
"Peace and long life Agent Sharpe." He said, watching as she returned the salute.
"Live long and prosper Captain V'Tar." Replied Elizabeth Sharpe with a nod of her head.
"I shall escort you to the scene Ma'am, we have seen to it that nothing has been in or out of that room for the last few hours, I must say i am inpressed you where about to get here so quickly."
"Thankyou Captain, we where in the area, just heading back to Starbase 313 when we got the call. Has the Victim been identified?" Liz asked as they walked the ships corridors, Cally and Arthur chatting quietly to each other a few paces back.
"Yes, the deceased is Ensign Jana Hol, a recent transfer to the station from the USS Washington a few weeks ago." As V'Tar finished his sentence, they came to the door to the reactor, where two starfleet security officers stood guard. They nodded to the Captain and his guests as they stepped inside.
"Thankyou for the escort Captain, but we can take it from here." Liz said, surveying the room.
"Of course, if you need anything, i shall do my best to help." V'Tar replied before leaving the room.
Callandra opened her field kit and scanned the area with her tricorder, Given the background noise of the reactor room, Cally knew the results she'd get would need a lot of work. The tricorder picked up over 40 different DNA traces which she'd later cross reference with the station's crew. Next she scanned the rope that had held the Ensign.
"So you cracked the case yet?" Asked Arthur, his deep voice booming from the other end of the room. The former Civilian peacekeeper knelt next to Reactor 5, a sharp metal object in his gloved hands.
"Liz, I may have something here, it doesn't look like part of the reactor." he said, handed her the metal.
"No, Looks more like the tip of a knife of some sort, though Cally'll have to verify that." Liz said, putting a hand on Arthur's shoulder, "Go have a chat with the lieutenent that found the body, I'll help Cally finish up down here."
"Right I'll see what i can get, Think he has anything to do with this?"
"I doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to narrow things down."
Arthur nodded once and peeled off his gloves as he left the room. Liz dropped the metal object into a evidence bag and slid it into Cally's kit bag.
"The doctor should have the body by now, I think that should be our next port of call before you lock yourself in your lab." Liz said with a smile.
